ABOUT US

How Lane Lee Started

Lane Lee began at home, not as a business.

In 2021, we got goats because we wanted to be more self-sufficient. The pandemic made it clear how quickly everyday necessities can become difficult to access, and I wanted to rely less on stores.

At first, it was simply about having milk to drink. That quickly turned into experimenting with what else could be made using goat milk. It became part of our cooking, then our skincare, and eventually part of our everyday routines.

Friends, family, and coworkers began using the skincare products I was making because they worked. After enough encouragement and repeat requests, Lane Lee officially became a business in 2024.

What We Make and Why

Lane Lee creates small-batch goat milk skincare built for real use. I’ve been a nurse for over twenty years, and that background shows up in how products are formulated here. I’m strict about percentages, process, and consistency. When developing a product, I immerse myself fully until the texture, performance, and end result are exactly what I want.

I also use ingredients that aren’t typical in goat milk skincare:
Lard instead of olive oil or tallow
Potassium hydroxide in shave soaps for specific performance results

Every ingredient is chosen intentionally to do a specific job.

The standard is simple: if it isn’t good enough for my family, it doesn’t get sold.

You can shop Lane Lee online year-round or find us in person at vendor festivals, markets, and events throughout Indiana and nearby areas.

Why It’s Called Lane Lee

Lane Lee is named in honor of two of my children I lost.

Dawson Lane Beck, my oldest child, died in a motorcycle accident in 2021.
Morgan Lee Gentry, my fifth child, died of SIDS in 2007.

The name is my way of keeping them included in what I build. It isn’t about sympathy or attention. It’s about family, remembrance, and staying grounded in what matters.

The compass you’ll see throughout the brand ties into this as well. My oldest son had a compass tattoo and said it helped him remember how to find his way back home and keep his direction. For me, it’s a reminder to stay focused on purpose as the business grows.

Made for my family. Shared with yours.
